Preflight / Ground
  1. Airspace
    1. Check overlying airspace, Call tower if needed
  2. Weather
    1. Local weather (winds, precipitation, visibility)
    2. Area forecast
    3. Visual weather check
  3. UAS battery
    1. Battery Charged 100%
    2. Transmitter battery charge sufficient for mission
    3. Battery seated properly
  4. UAS Props and air frame
    1. No prior damages
    2. Propellers attached and secured
  5. Displays and memory card
    1. UAS battery life
    2. Controller battery life
  6. Camera gimple
    1. Attached
    2. Unlocked
  7. Observer
    1. Present
  8. Camera check
    1. FPV checks
  9. Compass calibration
  10. Flight Limits and mode check
  11. Take off checks
    1. Surrounding area clear
    2. No trees/obstructions overhead
    3. Not on medal objects
Pre-launch Check
  1. Prop area Clear
  2. No takeoff/ Ascent obstructions
  3. Minimum Altitude set
  4. Transmitter on, controls Neutral
  5. UAS on, appropriate lights


Motor start Check
  1. Start UAS
    1. No abnormal noises
  2. Home point check
  3. Flight telemetry normal
  4. Hover Check
  5. Directional control
    1. UAS is responding and flying in the correct directions
Post Flight Checklist
  1. Landing location clear
    1. Clear of obstacles
  2. UAS power off
  3. Controller off
  4. Display device off
  5. Camera gimbal
    1. Locked and in place
  6. Memory cards
    1. Removed set in safe place
  7. UAS take-down
